Through the National Foreclosure Mitigation Counseling Program, NeighborWorks® America is hosting this Regional Multi-Course Training in Seattle, WA during the week of May 21 - 25, 2012.  This training is specifically geared toward practitioners interested in building existing capacity in foreclosure intervention counseling. 

Along with NFMC tuition and lodging scholarships, we will be offering CDFI tuition only scholarships to applicants that have been invited to apply.  CDFI scholarships are by invitation only.  Please DO NOT contact NeighborWorks America or the scholarship sponsor requesting the scholarship code.

This scholarships for foreclosure intervention capacity-building is open to current CDFI's and organizations desiring to become CDFI's.

This scholarship is by invitation only.  Those invited to apply have received the scholarship code personally.  DO NOT contact NeighborWorks America or the scholarship sponsor requesting the scholarship code.

Must be staff of a qualified Non-Profit 501c3 organization. This includes both HUD-Approved housing counseling agencies (affiliates and locally-approved) and others who may not be approved by HUD.  (Board members of qualified 501c3 may submit an application on a limited basis. Further eligibility criteria may apply.  Staff of state and local municipalities may also be considered on a limited basis).

Organization and staff must be providing foreclosure counseling activities, and/or working toward providing foreclosure counseling activities.  Intent of program is to strengthen and build mortgage mitigation counseling services.

Eligibility will be confirmed based on a valid 501c3 status.  In some cases we will request a copy of the organization’s 501c3 determination letter, if 501c3 status is not easily verified.  NeighborWorks reserves the right to give priority based on individual’s job responsibilities (e.g., front-line foreclosure counselor), and proximity to training event.
