Experienced HECM counselors, gain a deeper understanding of recent program changes, and fulfill your continuing education requirement.  This course has been updated to include information about financial assessment, life expectancy set-asides, and non-borrowing spouse issues, as well as changes in the HECM marketplace, HECM servicing, and HECM for Purchase topics.

This faculty-led online course is designed for active HECM counselors on the HECM Roster who have been providing services for at least 6 months.  Familiarity with HECM concepts and counseling practices will be assumed. The weekly live sessions for this course will take place on 5/12, 5/19, 5/26 @ 3:00pm ET.

Scholarships for this course are only open to HUD-approved nonprofit housing counseling agencies. Applicants must be an active HECM counselor on the HECM roster. Eligibility will be verified.

The scholarship request deadline is April 24, 2020. The scholarship may close prior to that date if there is a high demand for the scholarships. Apply today!

  •  Each agency may receive up to ONE scholarship per year (subject to demand and availability, additional scholarships may be awarded).
